Healed, PRAISE GOD!

March 6, 2009 at 10:20 pm (Uncategorized)

As you may have read over the years this blog has been in existence I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2007.

I chose to follow my heart which I believe was being lead by God, instead of today’s conventional wisdom. Oh sure, at first I got scared and I did four months of treatment with a drug called Arimidex. After some pretty horrific side effects I decided with the encouragement of my husband to take an alternate route. I tried an alternative therapy and changed everything about my diet. I followed the writings of Jordan Rubin N.D. and Sally Fallon, chef and nutritionist, and went back to traditional foods that were mostly prepared at home. As much as possible we chose raw milk, grass fed meats, lots of butter, cream, fermented vegetables and wholesome organically grown fresh foods.

The way I looked at it, God made every one of the foods given to us in the bible to be for our health. He did not give us processed convienince foods full of empty calorie so we could starve to death with our stomachs full. If my immune system was going to do  the job God intended, it needed to be unencombered by toxins and nourished by wholesome foods the way God originally designed them to be consumed.

I listened to the Holy Spirit’s guiding and did what I was lead to do. I often found myself craving a food items such as Beet Kvass, and Swiss Chard only to later learn I was deficient in magnesium which is plentiful in them. Once magnesium is balanced, calcium is absorbed better. My body talked, I listened. Each of the foods I chose restored something out of balance. Once those foods no longer tasted as delicious as they had when I began consuming them, knew I no longer needed the nutrients as I had when I first consumed them.  Every day I bacame stronger, my immune system became stronger too. I was no longer becoming ill easily. This is nothing short of a miracle in itself for a pre-school teacher.

Well, here it is… nearly two years after my diagnosis and the cancer is dead. The mass is still there, I’m merely waiting for the evidince to catch up with the truth.

Last “Believing God” Blog Challenge

November 12, 2008 at 7:24 am (Believing God, BLOG CHALLENGE)

Girls,

We failed in showing others our full circle.  God has brought us from the pit to our present and for most of us we have seen some glory!  Please share where God has brought you full circle. So the challenge this week is to final put finger to key and type your answer to Blog Challenge #9!

Have you experienced a place of Gilgal, where you have come FULL CIRCLE?  Explain how God has used you so far in your journey on Earth!

I will share with you mine when I see that another poster has shared hers. Here’s a hint…  I once thought God didn’t need our prayers, that he would do whatever he did regardless of what I did.  I have now learned that prayers are effective and necessary to our growth and healing!  Praise the LORD that I have come full circle.

Let’s be an encouragement to the Blog community, and let others know that God does STILL perform miracles on this Earth.

The journey has been exciting with you, ladies of “Believing God.”  Have you had a “fresh explosion of FAITH?”  I know I have!

Blog Challenge #9

November 5, 2008 at 7:31 am (Uncategorized)

Wow!  This study is almost complete.  One more week to finish and we are done.  You are are amazing for sticking it out.  It was incredible to read the stories this week about people who have had their reproaches rolled away, who were given the opportunity by God to have a do-over and who have come full circle!  At the bottom of page 193, Beth explains this is what she calls a Gilgal place.

Have you experienced a place of Gilgal, where you have come FULL CIRCLE?  Explain how God has used you so far in your journey on Earth!

I have!  Several times over!  I am just in awe by how God continues to bring me back to him and allow me to do something worthwhile for the kingdom.  I will come on later this week and share a few of them with you when I see that we have a few stories from you.  Don’t hold back!  This is our time to let the world know how God is using you, that He is real and He can perform miracles.  If you want to use a fake name to protect your reproach, by all means you have my permission.

I am so looking forward to this amazing thread.  Don’t let me down girls!

Week 6 Blog Challenge

October 8, 2008 at 4:48 pm (Believing God, BLOG CHALLENGE)

I am not seeing many of you attempting the blogging process.  So, let’s try again and I am looking for some new names as well as the more veteran ones!  Here is the next question….

On page 111 in Believing God, Beth Moore writes about loving God “best of all.”  What do you love “best of all” about God?

Remember, Beth also says that her best of all changes moment to moment.  In this moment at this time in my life, I love best of all about God that he is faithful and works everything together on purpose.  every time I see a GOdSTOP in my life or others lives, I look up and say, “I just love Him so much!”  I do.  And I don’t hesitate to point out to others the obvious GodStops I see in their life.  It doesn’t hurt to point it out and may actually increase their faith!

Go ahead, it’s your turn!!

Week 5 Blog Challenge

October 1, 2008 at 6:53 am (Believing God, BLOG CHALLENGE)

Hello Ladies,

It’s another week down in the Believing God by Beth Moore Bible Study.  We just completed week 4 on Believing we are who God says we are.  Day 4 of week 4 spoke to me most personally this week.  Several life change events are happening in my household and I do not like change.  But, they are opportunities for my faith to grow and my God to work!

This week’s blog challenge question comes from page 87 in your workbook.  Look back to it and share some of your response. Do you feel that you may be in the right place or the wrong place in relation to God’s present will for your life?  Explain what you are sensing and why.

Stay tuned for my response.  This was my favorite insightful question so far!!  Was it for you???

We could probably have more participants in our blog challenge, but I am excited that you all are lurking.  That’s right, I see that people are checking us out.  Wish you would send along a reply….

This past week we talked about how God can do what he says he can do!  This coming week we will discover that we are who God says we are!

So, in order to get to know each other better, let’s have a blog about who we ARE!  What do you do everyday?  Occupation?  Mom?  Student?  Share who YOU say you are!

Don’t forget, you can write a question you have here about the homework and I or another administrator will post it to its own post and see if others have any comments.

See you in this comments page!!  Happy Bible Studying!

Week 3 BLOG CHALLENGE

September 17, 2008 at 4:03 pm (Believing God, BLOG CHALLENGE)

Can you truly believe we are starting week 3 already of Believing God?  I suppose it is not that far into it but my God STOP pages are filled up!  I need more space every day to record all the things I am seeing God do.  It is utterly amazing.  Mostly because I can SEE it written each day.  I know every day when I can see God working, but usually I forget after I wake the next day, but now, all I have to do is see what I recorded these last few weeks.  Man, God is GOOD!!!

So, I want to thank you all for your responses to the BLOG last and this week.  Keep it up.  This week I will make it so simple that you won’t be able to find an excuse NOT to participate.

Question:   What is the most unusual or nicest gift you have ever received?  How did you handle receiving it?

I guess it is a two part question, but it doesn’t make it less simple to answer.  Looking forward to meeting you here at the BLOG…  Enjoy your studies this week!

Quiz Day 2

September 14, 2008 at 11:04 pm (Believing God, Studies, Thoughts)

Did you all enjoy the quiz this week.  I loved it.  It really showed me where I am in need of trusting and believing God more.  I got the majors down, like the gospels are always true and God loves me unconditionally, but do I always recite scripture when I pray?  Let me know what you thought about the quiz.  Did you see an area where you struggle or an area you really believe him and were surprised by either????
