Week 4 Blog Challenge

September 24, 2008 at 4:29 pm (Believing God, BLOG CHALLENGE)

We could probably have more participants in our blog challenge, but I am excited that you all are lurking.  That’s right, I see that people are checking us out.  Wish you would send along a reply….

This past week we talked about how God can do what he says he can do!  This coming week we will discover that we are who God says we are!

So, in order to get to know each other better, let’s have a blog about who we ARE!  What do you do everyday?  Occupation?  Mom?  Student?  Share who YOU say you are!

Don’t forget, you can write a question you have here about the homework and I or another administrator will post it to its own post and see if others have any comments.

See you in this comments page!!  Happy Bible Studying!

I am the proud Mother of 3 beautiful daughters and a son who is a USMC veteran, I was a stay at home Mom for about 25 years, I was very involved in the PTA and then later was president of the schools athletic boosters. Spent alot of time with those organizations, but loved being so involved. After all the kids were grown and in high school I took a part time job at Main Stop Resturant. After that building was sold I moved with the Main Stop crew to the Tip Top. I work 3 days a week and can say I do like my job and the women I work with!
My Husband and I so enjoy spending time with our Amazing Grandchildren, Emmerson (7) Lucy (13 mo.) Abbey (7) Wyatt (3) Gracie (6) and Owen and Henry (11 mo ) twin boys and One on the way. I am also Grandma to a beautiful little Angel in Heaven ( Isabella Rose) Here for such a Short time but she touched my heart forever!

I am a lover of God first. I am married to a great guy, we have no children of our own but are guardians of a 16 year old girl. My employment is in YMCA child care which I love doing. I should have listened to that high school apptitude test and went in this direction many years ago.

My hobbies/talents include a plethora of diverse things, beadwork, sewing, woodwork, drawing, painting, cooking, gardening reading and learning… They do not include house cleaning. I hate to be stuck indoors for long without a beautiful piece of jewlery being created in my hands or a facinating book to read. But even then, weather permiting, I’d rather be outside. So… housework such as cleaning, is a low priority unless the dust bunnies are taking over. My new Dyson is making short work of the bunnies with minimal impact on my breathing. (may my old Hoover enjoy it’s resting place after the explosion.)

I’m also a dreamer, thinker type who plans things out. Anyone who knows me, knows I tend to obcess on my current topic of learning. I will research a thing until it becomes part of me. My most recent research has been on farming. I want to have a homestead farm. This has been my dream as long as I can remember… 40 acres on the side of a mountain, 2 horses and a good man. I’ve already got the hard part. Now I need the land and the horses. I’ll let the mountain side part go for some really good workable land with a sound house and a barn. And… since I don’t see us having children any time soon of our own, we could probably do with 5-10 acres instead of 40. I’m more practical now and if the horses weren’t for a purpose other than pleasure they would likely give way to a dairy cow, or goats and lots of roaster and layer chickens to feed the family. I even plan on a root cellar… Cat

    This is fun…

I am Sunshine, a daughter to God, a wife to Shaun, and mother to Ethan, my should be 2 1/2 year old son who died at 5 days old due to a complicated labor and delivery. I am a teacher assistant at a special education school, and a juvenile detention officer. I hold a bachelor degree in English writing and Spanish and love to learn.

My passions are critical thinking, education and serving others. I volunteer as much as my physical body allows and offer encouragement and support to others. I love organization and cleanliness and thrive in a scheduled, structured environment.

I, too, am a dreamer and find joy in worshipping God. I love to spend time thinking and planning and preparing for life. If life were only about me, I would choose to have ten children, adopt or foster just as many and rescue kids from the violence and terror of this world. I am a humanitarian and wish I had resources to be a missionary and/or motivational speaker. I have lofty goals, but am also a realist and hope one day my dreams and reality will coincide.

I am a professional and educated woman who chooses to live life according to God’s will. I desire to aligned my life with His and see Him glorified.
