Night of Praise

November 15, 2007 at 10:56 am (Events)

Good morning In the Precious Name of Jesus!

Last night we had our Night of Praise at Crossroads Community Church, in Adrian.  If you were not able to or chose not to attend you will never know what you missed last night. Laura’s presentation brought Glory to His Name. The worship songs brought Glory to His Name. Communion brought Glory to His Name. And I believe God blessed us in return with the power of His presence. It was one of the most sweet times of fellowship I have experienced at Crossroads and I was blessed to watch Shelly’s beautiful little daughters dance unashamed and uninhibitied before the God they love.  Oh that we all would choose to worship as little children, as King David, before the Ark of the Covenant dancing with all our might before a Mighty God. Do you love Him? Don’t be ashamed to make a fool of yourself for Him! His love for us is demonstrative, love Him back with arms open wide.

Night of Praise & other events

November 8, 2007 at 1:08 am (Breaking Free, Events)

After a great learning tool with the pictures that Beth Moore uses to describe taking our thoughts captive in week 9 of Breaking Free, we have a few weeks of other things to do before our Celebration Wednesday.

Crossroads Community Church in Adrian, Michigan is hosting an opportunity in the CFC Auditorium to praise God the week before Thanksgiving in preparation for the holiday season.  Next Wednesday, November 14, at 6:30pm, we will gather to meditate, pray, sing praises and have communion while revering our Lord.

I will wait in the grand lobby at 6:15pm in case you would like to sit with someone and you may have to come alone.  It is an awesome experience and I would hate to have you miss it just because you do not want to come by yourself.   Let me know by email if you want me to wait for you.

W3 Coffee and Chat

October 25, 2007 at 10:29 am (Events, People)

On Thursday, November 1, W3 will be hosting our first ‘Coffee and Chat’ at the Stompin’ Grounds in Adrian! A few of us from the W3 team will be there from 4pm-7pm to meet with women who recently took Class 101. We look forward to getting to know them and helping them take their next step with Christ. We’ll invite them to get involved with the opportunities that W3 has on the calendar for 2008, and also encourage them to join Crossroads Small Groups and Service Teams. Please pray for ‘Coffee and Chat’ and feel free to drop in if you are able!

W3 Fall Studies

September 4, 2007 at 3:17 pm (Breaking Free, Events, Motherwise, Studies)

Wow! In just over 24 hours, the fall lineup for W3 will begin. Breaking Free by Beth Moore and Freedom for Mothers starts TOMORROW, September 5! If you have not signed up but are still interested please click on the Upcoming Opportunities link to the right for more information. If you cannot make it this week, we would be glad to accept you next week, just leave us a BLOG comment and we will get back to you.

SO, for those of us already signed up (and that is over 80 participants total!), we are so excited that you are joining us on the adventure that God has called for you in this season of your life. Obviously, the theme is FREEDOM, and let me tell you that there is so much freedom in Christ.

In the coming weeks, we hope that you will use this blog site to write about what has surprised you, excited you and made you think as you are doing the studies. If you have questions, please post a comment and ask it. There is a whole community of women who are doing life with you and this is the way we can stay connected with each other throughout the week. NOW, you don’t have to wait until the next meeting to ask the question that is in your homework that night… post it here.

Can’t wait to meet you and start using this BLOG as an extra resource for our study. God has mighty plans for you…. Will you meet Him there???

W3 Breaking Free

July 27, 2007 at 10:42 pm (Events, Studies, Thoughts, Uncategorized)

Summer is rushing by so fast!  And Summer Shorts has really been great.   I for one will be a little sad to see it go, because it means Summer will be over.  But it is exciting to look ahead to the fall study:  Breaking Free by Beth Moore that will be starting September 5th.   And even more exciting is that we will be able to offer a daytime session on Thursday mornings at Liz Gleckler’s home in the Devil’s Lake area, provided there is interest!

What kinds of things do you struggle with?  Do you feel defeated or discouraged?  Does it seem like you just can’t get beyond things from your past or your present?  Do you struggle with worry, or habits or shame or pain?   It is for FREEDOM that Christ has set you free!

Check out this study and find out for yourself how to make the Freedom that you have in Christ a reality in your life everyday!  Learn to recognize lies that are holding you captive and how to apply the Truth of the Bible to your life to break free from them!  This  indepth study changed my life and I am so excited that we can offer the same opportunity to others!  Click on the Upcoming events link on the right side of the page or

Check out this month’s edition of Frontline at www.ilovemychurch.org –to see what other Crossroader’s have to say about the impact this study had on their relationship with God and others!  Watch for sign up at the jail in the Grand Lobby coming soon…  and PLEASE consider attending one of the two sessions that will be offered.

Free Concert

June 9, 2007 at 12:42 am (Events)

Hi Everyone,

This is my first post, so bare with me. I’d like to mention that there is a free concert this Saturday night at The Deerfield Free Methodist Church in Deerfield, MI. The concert starts at 8:00 p.m. The band performing is Broken Yoke. I’ve heard they are good, but have never listened to them personally. They are from Lima, OH and have performed in Lenawee County numerous times. I’m excited about checking it out.
