WW journey keeps going and going…

March 11, 2008 at 11:59 pm (Health, Thoughts)

I have kept up! I am not a statistic of those who make a new year resolution and quit in a couple weeks. My quest for a healthy lifestyle continues.

I have lost a grand total of 13.5 pounds since January 5!! I haven’t bought new jeans yet, but I tried some on and fit (although quite snugly ;) ) into 3 sizes smaller than what I started, but my loose fitting jeans are just gonna have to work for now… I reached my 10% goal and am going for 15%, why not?!

The best part is I did most of this weight loss by diet… And now I am finally working in the exercise. At first I walked at the mall with my girlfriend a couple times a week, but she has since moved to Florida, so my walking buddy is gone! But, I now have broke out my old THE FIRM video tapes to do strength training and aerobic exercise. I have worked out 60 minutes at least 3 times a week for the last 2 weeks… I think that is a good start!

The bad part about all this is… My sagging skin. HELLO!? I am still in my twenties, I am supposed to have taut, wrinkle free skin. My belly looks like a 100 year old ladies face! I guess the bikini I was hoping to get into is out of the question…. But, I suppose that is the evidence of my dear son… He leaves a ’stretchmark’ on my life!

Thanks for your support and for those who are noticing my weight loss. I challenge you to a quest for health! PS… I found some great ice cream treats that are full of fiber so it makes up for the sugar! But, I haven’t figured out how to get the cheese in daily.

    Thanks Kim,

I appreciate your kindness and checking out this blog. I truly hope to inspire others by my success. It is the first time in many attempts at weight loss that have been successful and fairly simple. Not to mention that I still get to eat good food, just in smaller amounts.

I dropped by your blog and the http://www.ezinearticles.com that you write, and it is good stuff for people to continue to be motivated. Thanks for sharing it here with our friends!

    congrats kim!!
i was just browsing through the church’s website and caught your blog.
now about that icecream…………name of brand, please, and where can i get it?
getting cheese in is no big deal.
the little boy i get off school has a grilled cheese for breakfast. that will be your whole grain/high fiber (bread) and your cheese.
or you can try some shredded cheese on your salad or scrambled eggs.
cheese sticks while you are on the go.
good luck………i’ve not excersized all week but will get back in the there later today…really……..i promise :)

Skinny Cow ice cream snacks… yum, you can get them at Meijer…These are 2 points in WW.

Also, the Weight Watchers brand has some giant fudge bars that are one point each and I generally eat one a day. Plus WW has some other ice cream treats that I love, mint chocolate chip ice cream– 2 points.

One more thing. The 100 calorie hostess cupcakes, 3 per pack are only 1 point!! LOVE THEM.

I prefer to eat large quantities of cheddar cheese on all my dinner entrees, so the string cheese thing just isn’t working for me, but I will sacrifice it.

Deb, good luck in your health quest and keep checking out our blog, who knows maybe we will meet some time…
