God is so good!! He provides all that we need and more than we could ask for. Yogurt is an amazing food and it has so many therapeutic benefits:
It kills bad bacteria and restores the good microrganisms.
It prevents and helps treat intestinal infections, including diarrhea
It prevents and helps cure yeast infections.
Boosts immune system
Improves bowel functioning. ect…….
WARNING the best yogurt is plain, if it is mixed with fruit watch for products that would make it worthless like aspertmane, hydrogenated oils, high sugar. I have seen some really strange things in yogurt. Some brands that I recommend are Brown Cow, Culutral Revolution, & Woodstock water buffelo. The probiotics or cultures that are added are what make yogurt so beneficial. I wish I could list all the benefits but there are too many to list. A yogurt a day may keep the doctor away (just a thought)
There are so many things you can do with yogurt, I use it in place of sour cream, and mayo. Here are some recipes ideas.
Creamy (My kids came up with this name)
3 c. frozen berries, 1c. plain yogurt, 1 tbsp. honey. Blend in food processor and serve.
I like to strain yogurt through a cheese cloth (overnight is best) in the refrigerator. Then let your imagination go… Here are some of my ideas. If you have some ideas please share them.
fruit dip: strained yogurt, honey & cinnamon (to taste start with a little)
Spread for breads or rolls: strained yogurt, vanilla extract & cinnamon to taste
Spicy dip: strained yogurt, dried hot pepper, onion powder,& 1 garlic clove, and a couple drops of lime juice
Salad dressing: add your favorite dry seasonings, flax seed oil, sea salt.
Not only do they taste good but they are good for you!!!
Psalms 34:8 Taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man who takes refuge in him.

On Thursday, November 1, W3 will be hosting our first ‘Coffee and Chat’ at the Stompin’ Grounds in Adrian! A few of us from the W3 team will be there from 4pm-7pm to meet with women who recently took Class 101. We look forward to getting to know them and helping them take their next step with Christ. We’ll invite them to get involved with the opportunities that W3 has on the calendar for 2008, and also encourage them to join Crossroads Small Groups and Service Teams. Please pray for ‘Coffee and Chat’ and feel free to drop in if you are able!
Because we are Called to Influence,

Thanks for sharing, Sunshine!
I have learned to listen to ‘prompts’ that God gives me…and am more sure of them the more I experience memory issues related to my age, because I know they aren’t just ‘me’.
I often am struck with an idea or reminded of someone….in a way that I know it is from God. I can choose whether to follow up on those thoughts, or ignore them. When I choose to follow up I always get an affirmation, either spoken by a human or just in my spirit, that I have been a blessing….and I think.. that is walking with God. Feeling like we are making a difference is one of God’s gifts to us in the middle of a mixed up world!
I also feel strongly that when we make a commitment, like to a job…that we have great opportunity to witness by being dependable and working with excellence. So, when we go to work and help society function, we are walking with God there in that workplace. Remember, anywhere we go, we take the Holy Spirit with us! Sometimes we feel like we are doing nothing, but we are placing God’s Spirit among people and exposing them to His love and grace!
‘Working’ at church is good…but let’s be sure we are serving with the right attitude and it is not just something on our ‘to do’ list for the week. I am in the process of changing some of my serving assigments so I can be more strategic in developing relationships with women who are new to Crossroads…helping them find their next step towards or with Christ.
I recently learned that we actually do have ‘time’ to do Everything that God has on our calendar.
You know how we are always so short on time? It might be because we are trying to do things that He doesn’t intend for us to do! I have to tell myself, just because I CAN do something, doesn’t mean I SHOULD. That’s why we need to pray about our walk…and just ask God to make it CLEAR to us what we are to do.
Still learning!

As I was doing my 5th day of study for Beth Moore’s Breaking Free, Week 7, I came across a challenge Beth gave us. At the bottom of page 154, Beth challenges us to “review the calendar of our last week” and find out which days “reflect that you walked with God”.
Now, I don’t know about you, but I don’t recall a time where I audibly, out loud heard God’s voice telling me to “go forth” anywhere. And even when people tell me that they knew God was telling them something, I am skeptical that actually happened. It seems to me that I only know if it was God’s plan AFTER things happen when it appears that God worked it for our good. So for me, this challenge to look at my week and see where I walked with God was difficult.
I worked many of the days and volunteered at church on Wednesday and Sunday. I also attended a ministry open house on Sunday for Tiny Purpose. So does this mean, I only walked with God on these days or did I walk with Him those days at all?
How did you tell if a day in your last week “reflected you walking with God”? Are you able to hear God’s voice, and if so, how do you know?
Please write your thoughts here. Anyone else struggle with this as well?

Do you know the #1 way of preventing germs? (It’s Simple To Do)
Washing hands
The Center for Disease Control found:
1 in 4 adults don’t wash there hands after changing a baby’s diaper
Fewer than 1/2 Americans wash after walking their dogs on poop patrol.
Many people don’t wash their hands after using the restroom.
Most people don’t wash their hands after handling money. Reshachers conducted a study at a Ohio grocery store and found that 59 out of 68 coins and paper bills were infested w/ bacteria. E. coil & Salmoneila can survive for several days on coins.
Germs are typically spread through routine physical contact

For anyone who is doing the Beth Moore study, what is your take on the ‘polka-dot’ description from the video this week? I was totally lost during that segment. Was that her comparison to the variety in our life? What did you learn from that that I missed?

I had an AHA moment about a wound that has not healed, a stronghold for sure! It was something I thought was long gone but I can see now that it still has a grip on me. I have a lot of anger and resentment about doing most of my parenting role alone. I also have anger and resentment for losing some of my childhood. I was given responsibilities that should have belonged to my parents. I know that training served me well in my years raising my children and that God uses all things for His good. But, knowing this intellectually and actually having my heart healed are two different things. My sister actually identified this stronghold for me on the phone yesterday! When she told me “I don’t know what to tell you to do about it”, I was able to say that I was in a Bible study and that I needed to give this to God, expose it and let Him heal me. I also realized I have some issues with non-belief. The awesome thing was being able to share this with my sister, who in the past has expressed that she doesn’t want to talk ‘church’ with me! We ended the conversation with her asking me to ‘let her know’ how this turns out. So, not only can this be a healing experience for me, it can also be a wonderful testimony to share with my sister. I am learning that being so responsible at a very young age has made me unable to easily depend on others, including God. I want to believe He will take care of me, but giving up control is not easy. It ultimately goes back to fear I suppose. I still have many layers to this wound, and will continue to share when I can.
